Her eyes became fixed, her face relaxed and somewhere inside her small, perfectly formed little head her mind wandered off casually for a moment or two. Taking BB to her secret place that only her and her epilepsy know about. A smile broke out upon my face, for the first time knowing my daughter was having an epileptic absence made me happy.

Sometimes we catch a snap shot moment of some else’s life, today I caught a brief moment of someone else’s love. An elderly lady brushed past me in the shop, her face anxious, her eyes confused. She silently shuffled past me, confused about her. destination, waiting for help.
I stumbled into the house tired, a bit fed up, trying to balance three children and an almost full time job at times can be a little demanding and today I was feeling it.
Recently I was contacted by a lady who wanted to share her story but remain for now anonymous. I found her story incredibly powerful and would appreciate you taking the time to read and comment. Having babies is a luxury that I take for granted whilst so many others struggle and this post shows the reality behind sophisticated medical practises that can help others achieve their families.

After reading another blog regarding PGD (Pre Implantation Genetic Diagnosis) I thought it was time to document and share my own journey. Too many posts and articles focus on the ‘gender selection’ or the idea of a ‘designer baby’ when the truth, for us, is far different.
It has been a long week, five days holiday with the kids in full activity mode, instantly followed by a fabulous hen weekend.
Much fun has been had but it has also left me feeling a little battered and run down. My nose is streaming and I am feeling a bit sorry for myself.
