Ready to relax at Retallack Resort.

It feels like I have been on a rollercoaster which has been flying down a vertical slope since well before Christmas.  December came and went as it is prone to do, yet when the festive season ended we didn’t have time to put up our feet and relax.  Twin Boy and Twin Girl suddenly turned eight and parties needed planning, cakes needed baking and more presents needed wrapping.

It has been a whirlwind few months, where work has mounted up, the usual treadmill of hospital appointments have been attended, and I am knackered.

Really knackered.

I’ll be honest, he who helped create them looks like he feels the same.

So, we are ditching the day job, escaping from it all, and heading back to my calm sanctuary, and we are going to the coastline of Cornwall.

We have been invited to be guests of Retallack Resort and Spa, a five-star resort situation just outside of the beautiful town of Padstow.

I have to be honest, I squealed when the email popped into my inbox, and the offer has kept a smile on my face ever since.

We are staying in luxury lodge, and the plans so far involve letting the children run wild in various kids clubs, and doing some serious crabbing on the beach.  BB is very excited about making pizza and decorating t-shirts, the twins can’t wait to learn how to golf and escape the grown up’s at a late night movie party.

Me?

I am stupidly excited about the spa and the meal we are booked in for on our wedding anniversary which falls in our holiday.

And him indoors?

He is excited about this….

I have stepped aside to let he who helped create them and the kids have a play on the flowrider – I will be documenting, taking videos and making lots of notes for the blog post that will invariably follow….

Lord, I hope he survives.

For the first time I am wishing away the school days and shouting at half term to hurry up.
