Tomorrow

To my oldest children,

Yesterday you were still this small,

I closed my eyes for a moment and opened them today to see two beautiful, confident, excitable five-year olds standing in front of me.  Delicously naughty whilst predominantly good, I find each new today a better place to be when you are with me.

You inspire me daily as you continue to grow and develop into beautiful little people with an appetite for knowledge and a mischievous sense of fun.

I know I will blink again and tomorrow will be upon me and I will be watching you achieve your dreams and taking steps to your future.  You will cease to reach for my hand to take you on your journeys and maybe one day you will reach down to hold your own childs palm in yours; then you will truly comprehend the depth of my never-ending love for you both.

I want to treasure each moment with you and record every second, knowing I will blink and tomorrow you will be walking tall into your life, discovering new doors to pass through and new passages to take.

Yesterday I adored you, today I love you more, tomorrow I will watch you both continue to grow and enjoy my devotion growing ever stronger.

To my eldest children: keep making me proud my lovely little ones.

This post is my entry for Tara’s rather challenging prompt of ‘tomorrow’ for this weeks gallery.
