I’ve gone green

It’s funny how time and experience changes you into someone you never thought you’d be.

If you’d have told me when I started the parenting journey five years ago that one day I publishing a blog entitled “I’ve gone green”, my first response would have been;

“A what?”

 Followed by “eh?”

 Should you then have commented that the blog content would contain a picture of my third child in a ‘real’ nappy my response again would have been;

 “Third child, are you a fool? I’m knackered enough with two’

 Quickly followed by;

 “Real nappies? You is having a giggle my dear I only use ones which are one wear only.”

 But jump in Marty Mcflys’ Delorean and enter 2011 and here I am breastfeeding, co sleeping, baby wearing and now going green by moving into real nappies.

 As you can see BB is not complaining as she starts her eco-friendly journey.

How times change eh?  But also I have to hold my hand up, I was wrong about re wearable nappies, nowt wrong with them at all in my opinion; and my move from Pampers to cloth came just in time for The Gallery this week.

    I’m glad to hear reusables aren’t scary. I’ve agreed to do the Real Nappy Challenge for a week and am already having visions of buckets full of shitty nappies dotted around the house. But if it saves money, I’m all for it! x

    I used reuseables for the girls, but by the time DS rolled off the production line, I had run out of enthusiasm.
    I still feel a bit guilty about that so it’s good to see more people using them.

    Love my reusables, slightly sad to be Potty Training this week but going in the cellar for number two. High on my shopping list is new fluff. Its addictive! If you need a shopping list my faves are Itti Bitti Snap in Ones and Bambooty’s.
