Its just a chair; but I love it……

Blimey, my blog is six months old.  Maybe this will be more than a passing fad?

Anyways I have noticed there are some real benefits to being a blogger, not just the chance to ramble on and have a few lovely people listen but occasionally you also get sent some things to review and recently I was sent a rather fabulous invention to try out with baby beautiful.

Any regular reader will know that bb is a baby genius and at the tender age of eight months she feeds herself.  With her one tooth she can happily much her way through pasta, apples, steak, and the occasional raspberry muffin; and I don’t have to stand for flipping hours pureeing food into ice-cube trays.  However I do spend the best part of my life cleaning up after her as her table manners are appalling.  Her high chair has been condemned as a toxic hazard as it hides broccoli spears and has baked beans superglued to the sides.  In short my mother visibly shudders when she looks at it.

So I wanted a simple solution, a way that bb can join us at the table and  something that I don’t have to use four cartons of Jif trying to clean.  Then someone recommended totseat and after receiving one 24 hours later I have to confess I fell a little bit in love.

First and foremost it is intended to be a travel high chair but it suits my needs so well I use it at home as well.  It is a rather ingenious invention which is designed to fit any chair and merely safely holds the child in place so they can eat their grub – either on a spoon from mum or like my poorly behaved eater with their fingers.

Totseat also proudly supports the Childs Accident Prevention Trust logo and has won a host of awards and it is suitable for babies from eight months to 30 months.

It is blooming ideal when visiting anywhere that doesn’t have a high chair and it fits beautifully into a change bag or a hand bag.  There is a great choice of funky designs and it is machine washable (invaluable in my house)  It is also rather easy to use but should you require an extra bit of understanding check how the rather clever how to video which demonstrates how to use totseat on every type of chair imaginable.

Totseat are also remarkably kind to your wallet, for £22 I have a a perfect high chair and a happy baby!  If only totseat had been around when I had the twins I could have saved the best part of £200 on large hard to store high chairs.  In addition if pennies are short in your house check out totseat tuesday where you get a chance to win one every week.

My advice is that this is a must have for any new mums either for out and about or in your own home.  Check out bb enjoying herself for more proof if you need it!

Oh I like that! I wish that had been around when The Boy was just starting out on weaning, so much use!
