In Pursuit of Fairies….

Molly almost tumbled out of bed this morning with excitement. 

 ‘Todays the day we are going on a fairy hunt’ she whispered to her teddies.  Laying on her back and tipping her feet up towards the ceiling she nudged the mattress that lay above her on the top bunk edging her twin brother towards waking. 

“Owen,” she stage whispered, “let’s get up and go find some fairies.”

Dear holidaying teacher….

Week 2, Day 1….

My diary entry….

Dear teacher,

I had a wise plan today. As he who helped create them is studying from home I decided to recreate last weeks swimming nightmare by giving it another crack.  However I totally pulled one over on the lifeguard by leaving BB at home in bed and only taking the twins…

We arrived ten minutes before the swimming session began.  Good planning on my part as I wanted to ensure we got maximum return on my ten pound investment. I am northern and I don’t like to pay over the odds.

 Twin boys diary entry: 

I went to the park, I was tired.

Twin girls diary entry:

 I went on the climbing frame and the slide.

 My entry:

 Dear teacher,

 The kids are spot on.  They did all of the above. My day was fabulous.  I awoke at 6.06, fed BB then pulled on my clothes and painted my face in an attempt to erase the worry lines I had gained the day before.  It was one of those mornings where the impossible occurred and twin boy was still asleep at 7.01.  At 7.16 I could contain myself no more and dove into his room crying ‘revenge is sweet my child; it’s waking up time!’

Twin boy and girl have been asked to write memoirs of their six week holidays for school.
