Starting Christmas prep at the start of September may sound ridiculous but when you’re a mum of three, it really is a necessity. By the time December rolls around, I’m far too busy with family get-togethers and christmas party’s to even consider gift buying. I assure you, to avoid the last minute christmas panic and sail smoothly through December, start buying in September. When starting my Christmas shopping, I always find myself on the Argos website – it stocks almost everything I need! Christmas can be an extremely expensive time for me, so I am always looking for ways to save wherever possible. By using these voucher codes for Argos, I can get up to 20% of the items I need. This way, I can get the children what they want but save at the same time! Here are the early purchases I have made so far;
Super Cute Accessories
My girls love cute accessories and this year I thought I’d buy them both a bracelet. I am forever searching for little items to go in their stockings, so presents of this size are perfect. The girls just love opening these little treats. This Lipsy Silver Plated Charm Bracelet has to be my top accessory pick for them this year. It looks just like the Pandora bracelets but is a quarter of the price. I’ve always considered buying them Pandora until I remember the girl’s luck with losing jewelry – so this bracelet is absolutely perfect. Even better, you can add your own charms to this bracelet, the girls will be so excited.
Serious Science Gear
The girls are easy but my son is notoriously hard to buy for. Every year I pretend I am full of ideas but in reality I’m scraping the barrel – I’m sure many mums can relate. However, this year, I simply clicked on the ‘gifts for him’ tab on the Argos website and found an abundance of perfect present ideas. My son is obsessed with two things, science and his phone, so when I found this Star Finding Telescope that uses app technology, I knew it couldn’t be more ideal for combining his two interests. The telescope has a phone holder built in – so all you have to do is download the SkyView app and you can use your smartphone to navigate around the stars and constellations. Using this telescope is the only time I won’t mind him being on his phone. But jokes aside, I think he’s going to love it!
Family Fun with Board Games with a Twist
Christmas is all about getting the family together and spending some quality time. However, with the children always on their phones, it can be hard to prise them away and get them playing traditional board games. Therefore, buying a board game with a techy twist is my only hope for getting us all playing together again. This is why I bought the new Bop It and I’m so excited to play it with everyone. It is a classic game we all used to love playing together and we had a lot of laughs. I know my son was particularly sad when out old Bop It packed in, so I can wait to see his reaction to this present. This gift is guaranteed to get the whole family involved.
Without sounding just a little bit smug, I couldn’t be happier with my early Christmas purchases this year. I really feel like I am ahead of the game and definitely recommend everyone to get buying early – you won’t regret it!
