Holiday endings are always depressing. Today is no different. I am currently sat in the tinest airport in Beziers, longing for my mobile home back in Vias Plage.
I never thought I would long for a mobile home….
We almost didn’t make it. Some other enthusiastic homeward bound holiday makers sneaked into our taxi whilst we were ambling up the road weighed down with luggage. Luckily our driver returned when he realised his error and I looked crestfallen and woeful as I accepted my fate that I really had to come home.
Our last day was tremendous, no clouds, temperatures of 27 degrees. We started by the pool and ended the day playing boules on the beach.
Dinner was crazy golf followed by a last bowl of mussels.
Everyone crept into bed exhausted, full, and perfectly happy.
And now we have to come home!
BB has turned a colour we are all envious of, and on the other extreme, twin boy is missing a layer of skin from his back.
We no longer trust the apply once and it lasts all day sunscreen.
My French has improved tremendously since being here. My vocabulary and understanding is the same but my accent is fabulous (in my head). We won’t mention anything about the fact that I have been asking for water in Spanish all week…
So it is bon voyage from us to our Al Fresco home. Vias Plage has been amazing, a fantastic resort, excellent for families, and a place where we have built some incredible new memories.
We so wish we were still there!

I’ll have to go back and now and find out more about your holiday. I have to say, we have some fabulous memories of mobile home holidays in France when Rory was younger. Such a chilled holiday for all members of the family. I can understand why it was such a great break.
Lots to read Trish!
So jealous – it looks like a dream there – love how happy you looks in that photo too! x

What a beautiful sounding place! I’d love to be somewhere near a beach and sunshine and proper French food! sooooo jealous!
🙂
Glad you had a lovely time in my neck of the woods!
What you have to remember, when you speak French with an English accent, the French think you sound enormously sexy (a bit like when the French speak English…) – so never worry about asking for the agua… eau … errrm
Ha!!!!
