Choc, chip and chime

Oh I just had a fabulous evening. I have escaped the traumas of recent weeks and have brought the children back to gods country in the north for half term.

Tonight I met up with one of my oldest friends, I don’t see her half as much as I should but when we do meet up the years melt away.

The complete arse being that she still occasionally gets asked for ID in bars and I am often asked for my bus pass.

So today was started drowning in holidaying children at the local aquarium and finished drowning in Pinot Grigio in the local pub whilst memories were rehashed and old friends remembered.

I gleefully remembered that I first found stardom in my friends band age 11 ‘choc chip and chime’. Man we were awesome. My bestest wrote the lyrics that we both still remember today:

“You ran off with my best friend but you didn’t tell me so oh.
All the time I wished that it would end but you didn’t let me know.”

Trust me it is impressive I can still recall these lyrics but often struggle to name all my children.

We also paid homage to old boyfriends and then one literally cropped up in the bar. We also gave credit to facebook for supplying so much gossip material!

So all in all I am just popping on to leave a quick blog to remember a cracking evening with a rather fabulous friend!

Sleep tight everyone.
