When you name your children, it is an increasing trend to look for a name that is unique, rare in usage and beautiful.
Certainly when I chose names for my babies, I opted for ones I didn’t hear daily, and hoped they wouldn’t be a classroom of children of the same name.
Of course, what I never bloody considered was how flipping hard it would be to find items that had their name on!
Every year on holiday, at the sea side my youngest laments her double barreled name of Libby-Sue. Other kids grab pencils, mugs, door plaques with their names on and eagerly spend their holiday pennies. Libby-Sue just looks at me and says, ‘I wish I was called Lily.”
Molly is sometimes successful, but the new in trend way of spelling her name is: Mollie.
And Owen, well, he has little to no chance.
They have all wanted their names on their doors for a long time. But I have yet to find a personalised service that I thought looked good and suits our home.
That is until now!
I was contacted by Chantal, owner of the stunning site Kent-Made.
Finally – my children have names on their doors.
Which look amazing.
Fabulous aren’t they!
Plus they are inexpensive, costing £8.99 each.
Much prettier than what you can find at the beach.
Chantal is a start up business, and she offers a unique range of wooden gifts – not just names on doors.
I am a big fan of her postcard range.
I love finding treasures like this online, and supporting other small business. Pop along and see what you think – am sure you won’t be able to leave without buying something!
