The tree is out, the lights are twinkling outside, and the diary is brimming with social engagements.
Christmas is fully underway.
And although I have tried to reduce my alcohol consumption of late, I expect I shall find myself with a glass of Christmas cheer in hand during December.
It is not the drinking I object to, but more the hangovers that ruin the next day that spoil my festive spirit. Which is why I have been putting the revolutionary Üllo Wine Purifier to the test this week. It is the first of its kind product that allows consumers to remove sulfites from wine to purify it and restore the wine back to its natural state.
It has recently launched in the UK following a successful US launch where customers have reported that alongside the benefits to those with a Sulphite allergy and difference in taste that the product unlocks, they have also noticed that the product can help to remove the dreaded wine-hangover the morning after consumption which is, in part, caused by sulfites!
In the name of science, I have put myself through the paces and tested the product.
It is simple to use….
Simple decant the wine into a carafe or straight to the glass. Choose whether to aerate, (yes for Red – no for White in this house)
And enjoy without repercussions.
Founder of the brand, American, James Kornacki, commented:
“Here at Üllo we believe the best things in life are simple and pure, especially when it comes to the things we eat and drink. It is for this reason that we developed Selective Sulfite Capture™ technology to purify wine and ensure that wine lovers can enjoy wine in its natural state. We understand that the UK is a nation of wine lovers so we hope that our product offering will help Brits enjoy wine in its very best form!”
My head doesn’t hurt after a decent glass of Pinot, which is nice, but also the wine tastes purer, and crisper. The innovative Selective Sulfite Capture™ technology acts as a magnet to pull the sulphites out, whilst retaining all other compounds in the wine. Pretty clever eh?
Then by removing sulphites, Üllo can also remove the distinctly bitter taste found with some wines – of course because all wines have different levels of sulphites, the change in taste following its removal, varies from wine to wine.
That is clearly why mine tastes better!
The Üllo Wine Purifier costs £69.99 and the Üllo Selective Sulfite Capture Filters™ cost £29.99 for a pack of 10. Both products are available from retailers including www.amazon.co.uk and www.ullowine.com. Please see the Üllo website for the wider product range.
