I love flowers.
My favourite are simple daffodils although I am happy to be wooed by a sunflower or a rose.
Sadly, feel free to say awwww in compassionate tones here, I don’t get them very often, except for when I buy them myself (more awwwws are appropriate here.)
I am hoping that this post may remind my dearest other half that Valentines Day is peeping round the corner and since we spent last year in hospital with BB on Valentines Day perhaps some Valentine’s Day Flowers could be in order.
For the rest of you, I am working with the lovely folks at Prestige Flowers to give one reader the chance to see roses on Valentines morning.
It is a super easy competition, to enter simply leave a comment telling my other half why I should get flowers this year; I will make sure he gets the message.

The prize – Six beautiful roses, a vase to present them in and a lovely bottle of wine.
The competition will end at midnight on February 1st and the winner will be notified by email or twitter within 24 hours.

I remember my nephew was young once responding to a ‘why’ question with the answer “because Yes” and i couldn’t argue back. So although I could give a million and one reasons why Northern Mum absolutely and definitely should be given flowers this year for valentines, I am going to say “because Yes!” because then there is no getting out of that. x

I don’t think you should buy flowers this valentines day… yes that’s right, I don’t think you should. That’s when everyone gets them. You should buy them the other 364 days of the year to show your lovely wife how much you appreciate her.
