So the British summer is coming…..
My diet is going miserably and the fear of the summer holidays is starting to descend upon me. However the weatherman says we are due a summer of sun, sun, sun so let’s be grateful..
Ok, that may be a small fib – but it is July so I am looking to prepare for any hint of the sunshine, and at our house sunshine means swimming and swimming means an outdoor pool!
So I have got together with the good folks at Argos to run a competition for one reader to win a ten foot inflatable pool; click here to see.

That looks like serious fun! My kids always have great fun in the garden with a bit of water (in sun or rain – much to my dismay sometimes) so that pool would be very well received!!

Not being lucky enough to have “my own little family” this Midland Uncle would love to treat my nephew Conor who is 3 in November to a splash about in the garden courtsey of Northern Mum and Argos. My memory of childhood summers is having a permanently wrinkled skin from playing in water. Now I have permanently wrinkled skin year round – and it’s nothing to do with water!

This would be absolutely fantastic for my little girl. She has been through an awful lot this last year and has been in and out of hospital, very seriously ill. She has been diagnosed with a number of incurable conditions and illnesses and this would be lovely for her as she is in a great deal of pain a large amount of the time, and it is recommended that she ‘swims’ or floats in water to try to help her, but we don’t have a local swimming pool! She is such a brave, smiley little girl, that I would love for her to win this!

What a fab prize….we blew ours up when we had the HEATWAVE started to fill with water and it had numerous holes in it. Not had chance to get another one yet.

This year the whole family has decided to spend the summer at my grandmother’s house, so there will be a lot of nieces,nephews,children and grandchildren running around! I think this would be a good thing to have in case of sunny days

Wow brilliant prize my 3 kids would love this. My youngest truly is a water baby and would be sooo happy, he jumps in every puddle. We have to put him in reigns even though he doesn’t normally wear them to feed the ducks, otherwise he’d be in. He has a water activity table but no pool sadly, however he manages to squeeze his little body into the activity table and then looks at all the other children as if to say ‘ What? ‘ When it rains he goes to the back door with his wellies and crys to go out – yes even in thunderstorms they are his favourite!

I would LOVE to win a pool… it would be perfect timing, since we’re about to (July 31st!) move into our first ever house with a garden! Still in the North East, so not much sun around to be had, but whenever it peeps through the clouds for more than a few minutes I promise we’d all run outside and pile into it!
