There are two things in this world that I love to let whisper down my throat, gently coating my vocal cords in warm luxury and finally settling like warm embers in the depths of my belly.
The first, of course, is the precious liquid that is gin and the second is a cup of tea. Previously I have spoken of my inability to be able to successfully make, cool and then sit and drink a cup of the nations favourite, but when I was contacted by Twinings to have a look at their range I decided it was a challenge worth rising to.
These fair lips of mine sampled both the Twinings Royal Wedding Blend Tea and the Diamond Jubilee Tea Blend and although it took several attempts to be able to drink them warm the verdict is highly complementary, even BB (not tell social services) had a cup and excitedly signed ‘more, more’.
In a ironic twist of fate, the first cup of tea we made was ill fated, Twin boy felt obliged to play a game of indoor football with his entire teddy collection and I am saddened to say that Big Ted took a penalty and misfired taking out my poor cup, smashing it into smithereens and leaving a huge tea stains on the carpet. Since we have been asked by Vanish to check out their product this was the ideal opportunity. I had used Vanish the night before successfully to remove red wine stains from the bedroom carpet where I may have fallen to sleep laptop on knee and glass in hand….
Both stains have now disappeared and we still have a hefty stock of Vanish left to get us through the week.
This post was sponsored by Vanish and Twinings, the opinions remain my own and I as a regular user of both products I am more than happy to endorse the two.
