Marathons, Gin, Mad Awards, and a bit of competition…..

Dear those who have been asking….

….how I got on in ‘those blogging awards’ I can almost tell you.  I will find out tomorrow when I attend the Mad Blog Awards and the winners are announced.

I am incredibly excited, the build up has been fabulous and I get to spend the evening rubbing shoulders with bloggers who have now become friends.  Plus there is wine, and I heard rumour of gin…

And I get to sleep over!

Not at the actual awards as that would be wrong and a tiny bit disgraceful; plus I have it in print that Chris Molser from Thinly Spread will carry me home should I shame myself and fall asleep in my chair owing to over consumption of afore mentioned gin.

So I am staying in a rather lovely hotel with the lovely Molly from Mothers Right (it’s ok mum I’ve met her she is not one of those internet trolls you read about). I am staying up in the big smoke courtesy of Vertbaudet who have kindly sponsored my attendance at the event.

Vertbaudet have been on my web favourites for  years now, our relationship started with a toy box for the twins when they were born and since then I have purchased a wealth of toys, clothes and essential baby related items from them.  For anyone who doesn’t know them but is pregnant or has small people living in their house I would advise you check out their site.  They are a French clothing manufacture who specialise in stunning ranges of maternity clothes, baby clothes and nursery furniture.  To top things off they have great customer service – a rare find in this world!

To celebrate the Mads finally arriving they have given me a fabulous toystorage box to give away to one lucky reader.

All you have to do is leaving a comment below.  The winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday 4th of October at 7.30pm when the kids are in bed, and Uk entrants only please.

And please keep toes, legs, arms and fingers crossed that I don’t drink too much gin and fall into a drunken stupor at the awards, I don’t know if Chris is strong enough to get me home!

 Good luck

 Love

Northernmum

P.S.  If you would like a giggle at my expense, guess who found out they have a place in next years London Marathon today…….

Good luck in the awards; and one of those boxes would be a fine replacement for the cardboard Amazon box that currently holds Toby’s toys. (And you get bonus points for being sponsored by a company called ‘Green Ass’.)

Ooo please let me win, we’ve just had the first birthday experience and I’m in desperate need of places to store the new toys, particularly the lovely alphabet pull along tray which her godparents bought. Though very pretty it seems to comprise a billion pieces which keep disappearing under my sofa.
